Course Reflection

Reflect on what you have learned throughout this course. How can you apply what you learned to your own framework of leadership? Based on what you learned in this class, what are some changes you want to make to your own leadership style?

I have learned some interesting details and techniques from this class will most definitely assist me in any future managerial position.  I’ve had the confidence to lead people either as a camp counselor or as an event organizer, but these events or items are typically one time or annual events that have a conclusion.  

The question to me has been how to sustain a level of success and excellent for the long term, since the challenges in the business world is on a daily basis and never ceases.  These items that have been discussed in our course have provided an insight on how to structure an organization that sustains this level within a daily routine that has an inherent level of proficiency.  This structure (however organized) minimizes the possible hiccups and inevitable errors that occur during the course of daily operations.  This helps take mystery out of how to maintain a high level of performance regardless of what challenges are faced.  

Having absorbed this information will undoubtedly help in any managerial role.  I’m grateful for the opportunity to learn this valuable knowledge.  I also want to take the opportunity to thank Professor Braziel for his insight and experience.
